What single-tenant actually buys you
The differences between a large VPS and bare metal only show up under sustained load — which is exactly when they matter.
No neighbours
Every cycle is yours. No steal time, no other tenant's backup job competing for disk, no noisy-neighbour incidents to diagnose.
NVMe RAID
Two NVMe drives in RAID 1 on every configuration, so a disk failure is an inconvenience rather than a restore from backup.
IPMI and out-of-band
Console access independent of the operating system. Reinstall, boot to rescue or watch the machine POST without opening a ticket.
Filtering on every port
L3/L4 protection across all ports and protocols, including UDP — filtered, not null-routed the moment an attack starts.
Up to 10 Gbit/s
1 Gbit/s on the smaller configurations, 10 Gbit/s on the Ryzen 9 — unmetered, with attack traffic billed like any other traffic.
Consumer Ryzen, on purpose
High clock speeds beat core count for game servers, voice and anything single-threaded — which is most of what people actually run.
When bare metal is worth it over a large VPS.
A big VPS is cheaper and easier, and for most workloads it is the right answer. These are the cases where the difference is real rather than theoretical.
